Unexpected Blessings & Back to School
We’re back to school! Routine after the long days of summer is bittersweet. It sure requires a lot of self-control and motivation for mom.
Trying to get everyone back onto somewhat of a schedule, and actively engaged in schooling, holds so much excitement and joy, but also a few bumps in the road.

Unexpected Blessings
We received such an exciting and unexpected fall blessing! We were invited to pick raspberries and apples in the garden (well really, it’s more like an orchard) of Chad’s friend's family. We have had so much fun with this! It has truly made our harvest and preservation season even more exciting, and definitely a whole lot sweeter! Praise the Lord!

We also had the sweet blessing of spending time with a couple dear friends on our first week back to school. We even got to celebrate my dear friend’s birthday with her! I’m so thankful for friendships that span many years, God is so good!

The Harvest Continues
While many around us received a hard enough fall frost to bring the garden season to a close, our yard was spared. Temps dipped low enough to seem like damage could be done, however, when the sun rose everything looked fine, thank you Lord! These extra days, and possibly even weeks, make such a difference.
We pulled a few potato plants just for fun and were rewarded with over 6lbs and a delicious dinner!
