When You Don't Have a Budget for a Bible Study

I'm a mom and a wife. Naturally, that includes grocery shopping and feeding a family of 6. Budgets vanish quickly. One trip to the grocery store might suck up your margin for "extras".

Thankfully, God's Word is free. The Bible App and online Bible options like BibleGateway make scripture readily available for no cost. But what about seasons when you feel like you need some routine, organization, or deeper study? Adorable and fantastic Bible studies abound! What if there's no room in your budget? We've got you! Well really, God does. We offer several free Bible studies and Bible reading plans to help you spend time in God's Word. Our women's Bible studies and Family Chronological Bible plan make studying God's Word easy, organized, and free!

We wholeheartedly recommend printing our Bible studies and spiral binding them. (The UPS store and Office Depot usually very affordable). These make sweet and thoughtful gifts. Pair them with a DIY bookmark, a pen, and a highlighter and you have a thoughtful and very low cost gift idea for birthdays, Mother's Day, or just because.

Perhaps you're interested in hosting a women's Bible Study in your home. Any of our Bible studies make a great option for that also.

Not in a season where you're plugged in with a group? We get it. There are seasons, especially if you've recently moved, where you don't have a group of friends to invite over. Promises Family Bible Plan is wonderful for families, but also for friends! Invite a friend (no matter where she lives) to join you. Read along together and set aside a time for a phone call or FaceTime call to discuss what you read. What did the Lord illuminate to you? Did the Holy Spirit bring conviction or comfort from any of the passages? Did you find any connections between the Old and New Testament?

Studying God's Word doesn't have to be time consuming. Set aside 15-30 minutes a day to seek the Lord, read His Word, worship, and pray. It will change your life. The Lord is merciful and He meets us consistently when we seek Him with all of our heart. Seeking first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness will change your life in the best way possible.

Like water to our soul, like refuge in chaos, God is our ever present help. I truly cannot imagine trying to do life apart from Jesus. In every bad moment and rough week, He has always been there for me. God's Word is alive and active. Many weeks it surprises me how very much it meets me with love, conviction, and guidance.

• If you're a new believer we recommend starting with So You Have a Bible as an intro to the Bible.

• Is fear and anxiety a struggle? You're in good company. Perfect Love Casts Out Fear is a Bible study with personal stories and Bible application to battle the spirit of fear and allow the Lord to free you from anxiety as you study His Word, hide it in your heart, and use it as the Sword of the Spirit. Jesus came that we would have life and have it to the fullest! Fear doesn't get to rob the joy and purpose that God has for you.

• Interested in the women of the Bible and the role of women in the Body of Christ? Struggling with the roles of women and pondering topics like, "Can women be pastors?" Or, "Did Jesus have female followers?" Created Uniquely may be the perfect place to start!
