If you’re searching for a free Christian homeschool curriculum, you’re not alone. Many families feel called to homeschool but quickly discover that curriculum can be expensive, overwhelming, or difficult to implement in a busy home.

The good news is that homeschooling does not have to be complicated or costly. Our goal with That It May Go Well Bible-Based Homeschool Curriculum is simple: to help families provide their children with a Christ-centered education that is practical, peaceful, and accessible.
This free curriculum was created to give families a clear and manageable path for homeschooling while keeping Scripture and Christian character at the center of learning. Whether you are just beginning your homeschool journey or looking for a simpler curriculum approach, this program is designed to help families move forward with confidence.
Think of this page as a hub to learn all about what we offer! There are many pages and videos to explore on our website, and we hope you’ll check those out too. We wanted one place where we could detail everything, which is especially helpful for new homeschool families or those just discovering TMGW.
Curriculum Choices
We offer two distinct homeschool curriculums under the TMGW umbrella. They are similar, but each has key differences. We’ll detail those further down in this post, but initially, this information will help you understand our style and what to expect from the TMGW curriculum family:
We also offer two Christian preschool curriculum options that roughly follow the same categories/branding. You can learn more about our Preschool Homeschool Curriculum here.

Our Free Christian Homeschool Curriculum (Preschool–8th Grade)
Our curriculum is a complete homeschool program for Christian families, covering Preschool through 8th grade. Lessons are designed to be open-and-go, meaning parents can begin teaching without spending hours planning or preparing materials.
This curriculum works especially well for:
Christian homeschool families
Parents who want a simple daily structure
Families teaching multiple children
New homeschoolers feeling overwhelmed by options
Families needing a budget-friendly solution
The goal is not to create a rigid school environment but to help families build a peaceful and purposeful rhythm of learning together.

What Makes This Curriculum Different?
Many homeschool programs are difficult to implement in real-life homes. TMGW was designed by a real homeschool family, with homeschool families in mind.
Key features include:
Completely free for families
Very affordable printed options
Strong Christ-centered foundation
Open-and-go lessons requiring minimal preparation
Structured to work well for multiple children
Simple daily routines that support a peaceful homeschool environment
Many families find that simplifying their curriculum helps homeschooling become joyful and sustainable.
Subjects Included
TMGW provides a well-rounded education while keeping daily lessons manageable. Subjects include:
Bible and Scripture study
Practical learning
Language Arts
Art
History
Science
Reading
Penmanship
Additional enrichment and fun activities
More importantly, learning is approached with the understanding that education is about more than academics. Homeschooling provides an opportunity for children to grow in wisdom, character, and faith. Our desire is that through using TMGW, both you and your children would love and know Jesus (the Word made flesh, the Light of the world), building a firm foundation in God’s Word.

A Simple Daily Homeschool Rhythm
One of the most common questions is:
“What does a typical homeschool day look like?”
Every family will develop its own routine, but many families find success with a simple structure like this:
Morning Time
Bible reading or devotional
Prayer together
Worship
Family read-aloud
Core Subjects
Language Arts
Math (we personally use Math U See successfully)
Afternoon Learning
Art, History, or Science
Independent reading
Hands-on activities or projects
Short, focused lessons allow children to learn effectively while leaving time for creativity, outdoor play, extracurricular activities, and family life.

Teaching Multiple Ages in One Homeschool
Many homeschool families are teaching more than one child at a time. Family-style homeschooling allows certain subjects to be taught together while Language Arts remains individualized.
Subjects that work well for group learning include:
Bible (worship, prayer)
Memorization
Practical learning facts
Penmanship/Copywork
Spelling (DIY lists for Original, Word List + the option to add words for Rainbow)
Art
History
Science/Creation concepts
Read-alouds
Fun activities
Language Arts, including spelling, is often taught separately so children can progress at their own pace. Many families appreciate the flexibility, avoiding the need for completely separate lesson plans for every child.
