Daily Unit Memorization Facts & Reminders

Overview

Go through this section after Bible Time. Practice memorization facts with your child and go over the checklist for each day. Once your child(ren) masters the content, present it as questions. Example: “How many hours are in a day?” Allow them to respond with correct answers instead of reciting the facts. If you are homeschooling children 4th+ you may find that they already know the majority of this information. Because their work in their workbook is more rigorous, feel free to omit portions of this section as is appropriate for your family. Adjust memorization to the ages of the children you are schooling. Some memorization may be too much for young children and some may be too repetitive/simple for older children. Example: Children in Kindergarten do not need to know the State of Being verbs. Please Note: Units 1-3 have one set of memorization facts and units 4-6 have another. This reinforces learning and allows memorization.
