Is the curriculum really free?

Yes — all student workbooks and the Parent Plan Book are free to download as PDFs. Promises Family Bible Plan is free to join in our Online Program. Printed physical copies are also available for purchase for less than $30 per book if you prefer not to print at home.

What grades does That It May Go Well cover?

The Rainbow Curriculum is designed for Kindergarten through 8th grade. Because it's family-style, children of multiple ages can learn together from the same curriculum at the same time — you purchase one workbook per child based on their level, not per subject.

Where do we start if we're brand new?

If your family has never used That It May Go Well before, we recommend starting with Red Year. Red is designed as the entry point and covers Genesis through 1 Samuel in the Bible, plus Africa and South America in History & Geography.

 

What subjects are included?

The curriculum includes Bible, Art, History & Geography, Science, Practical Learning, Scripture Memory, Penmanship, Spelling, and Language Arts. The one subject not included is math — you'll add your preferred math curriculum alongside it.

What's the difference between the Rainbow Curriculum and the Original Curriculum?

The Rainbow Curriculum (That It May Go Well) is our newest addition and goes K-8th grade. Our Original curriculum is K-5th grade. We recommend for the Rainbow Curriculum for new families as we love the variety that is offered to families with our Online Program. The Original Curriculum is still available for families who prefer it!

Do I need the Online Program, or is the curriculum enough on its own?

The curriculum workbooks and Parent Plan Book can be used completely independently without the Online Program. If you do enroll in the Online Program you will have more planning for lessons on your own. The Online Program adds prepared daily lesson plans, video support, checklists, and community — many families find it makes their school day easier, but it is optional.

What is the Parent Plan Book?

The Parent Plan Book is a guide for the teaching parent that covers all four Color Years of the Rainbow Curriculum and includes the Promises Family Bible Plan to walk your family through the entire Bible. It's used alongside the student workbooks to plan and lead each school day.

Is this curriculum accredited?

That It May Go Well is not an accredited program. It is a home-based curriculum designed to be used by parents as the primary educator. Families are responsible for meeting their own state's homeschool requirements.

Can I use this curriculum in multiple states?

Yes. Because you as the parent are the educator, the curriculum works in any U.S. state. You'll want to check your specific state's homeschool laws to ensure you're meeting any local requirements for subjects or hours.

What if we've already completed Cycles 1 and 2 of TMGW?

The Rainbow Curriculum serves as Cycle 3 for families who have completed the original Cycles 1 and 2. If that's you, you're ready to jump into the Red Color Year!
